my school incident - very interesting - 2006/09/27 07:50 Dear All the Users,

I am prem, feel very happy to tell one of my experience in my school days. In breif, I am studying 7th class/standard in Govt. high school. Generally, i am very decent and calm going person with having good listening skills and grasping power. In every Examination, i used to get above 75% in all the subjects. When my teachers, asks me questions in class room, i never give answers due to stammering. It gives the teachers negative sense, that "Mr. Prem is writing the exams by copying" like. So all the teachers discussed about this issue and they were focus on me while writing the examinations. Again i got 75% marks in all the subjects. They dont know about my stammer. They started FBI ( Investigation ). At the end of the year, they came to know about my stammer and all the teachers appreciated me and my reality getting good marks in examinations in written.

Sincerely,

Prem Kumar

Re:my school incident - very interesting - 2009/08/09 19:36 Hi Prem,
Very nice experience. Even I used to not ask questions in class or participate in discussions; but somehow I used to manage to get decent marks.

But you know what, slowly but surely I started asking quetions, started participating in stage activities, in debates, anchoring programs etc.

And to my surprise I did quite okay in all these areas.

I'm sure you'll also challenge yourself and take part in activities that require you to speak.

Start on a easy scale like indulding in long conservations with your parents, brothers, sisters, relatives etc., who know about your stammering and try to speak confidently.

Before you notice you'd have already made success and gone to another level with regards to not only your speech but your entire personality.

Try this and tell me next time. I'm waiting for your reply.

I'm sure within no time you'll speak like anyone else.
