Draft of Vision and Mission Statements. The British stammering Association (BSA), has the following vision and mission and value statements on its website at http://www.stammering.org/about_bsa.html : - Vision: a world that understands Stammering Mission: to initiate and support research into Stammering to identify and promote effective therapies to offer support to all whose lives are affected by Stammering to promote awareness of Stammering Values: caring about people, development, empowerment, integrity, openness, quality The Indian culture and way of life is completely different to that in the UK. Thoughts about a Vision for TISA could be along the lines of: - Vision: an India where there is no longer any stigma attached to Stammering Depending upon the ability of TISA to be a fund raising, non profit-making, charitable association, its Mission statements could be something along the lines of: - Mission: to initiate and support research into Stammering to identify and discuss a variety of worldwide therapies to offer information and support to all whose lives are affected by stammering to offer information and support to self-help groups set up throughout India to support Indians who stammer to offer a network of contacts for every Indian State to promote awareness of Stammering to the Indian people It is best if the values of TISA should be considered by Indian people who stammer. They will probably include many all of the BSA values. Would anyone like to suggest values? |
